Fashion / *STYLE SCRAPBOOKS: LA STYLISTS, ROB AND MARIEL
LA-based styling team Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn are an unstoppable duo- much like their style heroes Bonnie and Clyde. ”People either think we’re married or brother and sister, because we finish each other’s sentences,” Mariel says, of the other half of the red-carpet super team. Together, the two are responsible for styling some of the biggest names in music and entertainment: Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Rachel McAdams are just a few of the big names they’ve gussied up.
Experience dressing our style crushes in mind, is it any wonder we picked Rob and Mariel to kick off our series of guest-edited Back To School looks? Not only can they choose a mean outfit, they dispense genius advice. We especially love their tip to start an inspiration file:
“Rip out or write down anything that inspires you (and we don’t just mean clothes – this is about your whole life) it could be a magazine spread, a character from a movie, a new book, a favorite painting, even a greeting card your best friend just sent. These scraps will help define you as a person, and visually illustrate your interest, tastes and style.”
For more of Rob and Mariel’s pearls of fashion wisdom, follow them on Twitter (@RobZangardi and@MarielHaenn) and browse their style scrapbook below. Decided you can’t live without brown ankle boots or a neutral blazer? Shop their spread on our homepage!
