A BIG trend for fall is the polka-dot. Stella McCartney, Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs were seeing spots on the Fall 2011 runway, and it looks like spring’s stripes have met their match! Treat this trend like a basic – depending on how bold you want to go – so neutral pairings like nude pumps or strong solids can offset the busyness of the dots. Check out three outfit options and the hot spots you can wear them to this fall!

SHOP THE DOTTED LINE: (Clockwise from top right) Burnout Rose Crop Top ($14.90), Maxi Polka Dot Skirt ($22.80), Beaded Flats($25.80), and Charisma Croc Clutch ($9.80), Floral Woven Handbag ($24.80), Smocked Polka Dot Top ($19.80), Folded Leatherette Wedges ($27.80), and Patch Pocket Shorts ($17.80), Two Tone Leatherette Handbag ($34.80), Sequined Knit Top ($24.80), Peep Toe Heels ($22.80), and Polka Dot Skirt ($17.80)
I really like the top look: a fantastic color combination (aloud, navy and rust would not sound like a winner to most) and blends textures – the top, shoes and clutch. Not to mention the contradiction of a cropped with maxi length. And what? No looks for trousers? I’ve seen two can’t-miss pair.
