Fashion / NYFW Lesson #3: Grunge is Good
The time has come to bid adieu to our Lessons Learned from NYFW series and while we’re attempting to cope with the fact that it’s over (thank goodness we’ve still got London, Milan and Paris!) we’d like to leave you with one last lesson to ponder. Lesson #3…there’s nothing wrong with a little grunge! Beanies, mixed prints and tons of texture radiate the California-cool vibe we know and love, but the modern update these NYC fashionistas took on the trend (ahem…gold pantsuits and beanies) will leave us lusting for days on end!
Lesson #3: Grunge is Good
The Beanie
When beanies aren’t becoming besties with your bad hair day, they’re breaking up a color blocked outfit with a bright burst of contrasting color!
The Mixed Prints
If there’s one thing we love about NYC babes, being timid is not in their nature. Florals, polka dots, and metallics (oh my!)…these savvy streetstylers are mixing prints like they just don’t care! #loveit
The Textured Outerwear
Faux fur and shag hoodies (in polar bear white) are the paw-fect way to let you inner wild child out!
