Fashion / Miami Blogger Meet Cute: 10 Questions with Ria Michelle
Ok seriously, we’ve been having sooo much fun hanging with our new blogger buds that someone’s gonna have to physically put us on a plane and force us to get back to LA! This weekend we met up with the lovely Ria Michelle at Nespresso for a late afternoon coffee fix and ended up chatting for hours about Miami hotspots, spring trends and our mutual love for RiRi’s off duty style! This uber-hip chick is totally a girl after our own heart…
Since we’re at Nespresso, what’s your favorite drink here?
I love the Iced Macchiato!
What are you wearing today?
Today I’m wearing one of my fave hats, a thrifted Forever 21 knit sweater and a Forever 21 filigree print bodycon skirt.
Describe your style in 5 words.
Bold, Moody, Playful, Edgy, Versatile
How did you start blogging?
I’ve been a web addict since the days of LiveJournal! RIAMICHELLE.COM is my fashion diary where I can share my pursuit of a life of style in my own creative space.
How does the city inspire your style?
Miami is a vibrant city that’s still sort of finding its foothold. It gives me the chance to be vibrant and grow with it.
Favorite resto in the city?
Lido Restaurant & Bayside Grill at The Standard. Great view of the bay and it’s poolside! You must have the fries and the clams! Sooo yummy.
How has your life changed since becoming a blogger?
Becoming a blogger has allowed me to really focus on who I am as a person, my strengths, my weaknesses, my passions. This is what I do, what I love and who I am.
Whose style do you most admire right now?
Right now I’m pretty obsessed with Rihanna‘s off duty style. It demands attention even in its simplicity. I can’t wait to see what she wears to the shows at LFW!
Trend forecast focus: what trends are going to be big this spring?
Monochrome is always in. I mean, does black and white go out of style…ever? Western elements like fringe, white leather and pale denim are hot this spring and…according to Charlotte Ronson‘s show last season, 90s-inspired pieces are also trending. I can’t wait!
Your top 5 must-go places in Miami (day or night)?
1. The Standard (lazy Sundays are everything.)
2. FDR at The Delano
3. Soho Beach House
5. Shake Shack (hey, you gotta eat!)
