Fashion / Miami Blogger Meet Cute: 10 Questions With Capture Fashion
When Amanda from Capture Fashion asked us to hang with her at La Sandwicherie, we were pretty much instantly smitten (we’ve been on a serious sandwich kick for the last month…it’s a thing)! We grubbed and gabbed with the glam blogger babe about fave Miami restos, spring trend forecasts and her love for all things leather – wayyyy too much fun!
Tell us about La Sandwicherie! Why did you want to meet here?
It’s my favorite spot! The food is always fresh, it’s always open and it’s a very local-friendly spot. I love to get the Acai smoothie in the morning with a plain croissant. For lunch, it’s all about the salads.
Is making a sandwich like creating an outfit? We gather some detailed assembly is required…
Haha, they are kind of similar! Like creating an outfit according to my mood, making a sandwich is kinda the same. I like to experiment with new trends in both food and fashion. It’s all relative.
What are you wearing today?
I am wearing faux leather pants, a knit sweater and sparkly sandals. I try to play with texture as much as I can during “Miami Winter” but I still usually end up wearing sandals.
Describe your style in 5 words.
Clean, feminine, bold, glam, smart
What is the one item in your closet that you couldn’t live without?
Can I say leather? Is it cheating to pick a fabric? To truly pick one thing would be so hard. I might just start completely fresh as not to offend any individual garment of my beloved wardrobe!
Favorite resto in the city?
BLT at The Betsy (specifically for brunch), Gigi for dinner and (of course!) La Sandwicherie for lunch.
Top 5 must-go places in Miami (day or night)?
- Wood Bar in Wynwood
- Soho Beach House
- ELLE Spa in Eden Roc
- The Broken Shaker
- The Everglades for an airboat ride (it’s so scary and awesome!)
Spring trend forecast for me: what trends do you think are going to be big this spring?
I think I’ll ride the 90s vibe from fall through spring and summer. I’m really looking forward to wearing leather overalls, lots of crop tops and even working some flannel into the mix.
Describe Miami style.
Sexy and bright! The most admirable quality of Miami style is the confidence of the people. It’s beautiful to see women happy and self-confident.
How has your life changed since becoming a blogger?
Clothes and accessories have become my main source of self-expression. It’s my passion. I couldn’t imagine my life any other way!
