Fashion / Guest Editor: Chanelle from The Penelope Times
Hi! My name is Chanelle and I’m a proud Los Angeles native behind the blog, The Penelope Times. I’d like to think my life is like a movie so my blog is pretty much a diary of my life, what I wear, what I like and what I’d like to spend all my money on next. I wanted a place to share all of this and my love for fashion so I started my blog and have thoroughly enjoyed it ever since.
Printed denim is huge right now and I can honestly say, I’m a printed denim groupie. I’m about to show you 3 different ways to wear printed denim shorts, which you can apply to printed denim pants as well. Lets get started!

Chic: If you are more of a preppy type or have a nice dinner to attend you can jazz those jeans right up with a blouse and a bow tie. I thought these gray wedges complimented this particular outfit well, but a pair of heels/pumps would also be great. The high bun adds a classy element and ties the whole outfit in together.
Casual: Nothing is more comfortable, yet stylish, than a white tank. Since it’s not exactly hot yet I paired the tank with a denim jacket which is a fun contrast to the printed denim. I slapped on some ankle boots for a little edge and my lazy beanie…..well…because I can’t stop wearing it. It’s become a Chanelle staple.
Cold nights: Since Spring still has it’s cold moments I thought I would show how I would warm up these printed shorts. Black and white go with almost every color and I really like how this sweater looks with these shorts. I’m partial to knee highs but tights would be just as good and keep you just as warm. A pony is always spunky so I thought I would put my hair up and show a little shoulder.
What a cutie. “chic” is by far the best of em all

The ankleboots BORE me to tears. How about a taller boot paired with the shorts? Come on.
Love those bright cheery and cheerful neon colors as outstsnding in their field for those who cannot afford to buy some of them yet enjoy looking at the preppy women dressed in them to the nines.
merci Thank you.
