Fashion / EMMYS: WHO WORE IT BEST

RED HOT: The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev literally stops traffic in a perfect Donna Karan dress. Kerry Washington comes in a close second with her Roberto Cavalli gown, but her fringe doesn’t quite live up to the glory of Nina’s train. IN THE NUDE: It’s a recap carpet tie! We can’t pick a favorite between Cat Deeley’s ethereal Monique Lhullier and Anna Faris’s geometric Reem Acra.

LACED UP: Actress/blogger/author/chef/performer extraordinaire Gwyneth Paltrow wears traditional lace in a thoroughly modern cut, giving her Pucci outfit an edge over Minka Kelly. Charlie’s newest angel is an undeniable stunner, but we’re not into the old fashioned lace shrouding her, even if it is Dior. ¬†BLUE MONDAY: In our active imaginations, Suri Cruise styled mom Katie Holmes in this simple and chic Calvin Klein Collection dress. Dianna Agron is also singing the blues, but her Roksanda Ilincic gown isn’t filling us with glee.

BEADS AND SHIMMER, OH MY: Emily Blunt’s Elie Saab brings out her blue eyes, but we’re not completely sold on it’s tassel embellishment. Claire Danes nails the embellished look in her besequined Oscar De La Renta, looking not unlike an Emmy award statue herself. TEA TIME: We’d say cocktail length, but there are minor’s present. Heidi Klum wows in Christian Siriano (got to love the Project Runway connection…), but can anyone be cuter than Mad Men’s youngest star Kiernan Shipka?

ALL ABOARD: Everyone’s hopping on the train train- Olivia Munn shows off her assets in a kelly green Carolina Herrera, but no one can compete with Sofia Vergara’s dangerous curves. The Modern Family bombshell wins this round in a coral Vera Wang. SOLID SPARKLE: Evan Rachel Wood’s Elie Saab LBD looks phenomenal on her, but we’re just slightly partial to Maria Menouous’ Emanuel Ungaro.
