Walking works of art hit the red carpet last night at MTV Europe’s Music Awards, and I don’t know about you but they’re taking my breath away. I mean, there’s just nothing like a stunning Versace gown and the major risk-taking that goes into donning this wickedly hap-hazard Viktor & Rolf ensemble... Beyonce goes Art Deco in this breathtaking Versace gown, channeling one of our country’s finest architectural achievements: the Chrysler building in NYC.
What do you think? OMG!!, Ehh..., or No thank you. Katy Perry took fashionable risks to the Gaga level in her 12 looks of the night, but this one takes the cake, in our opinion. The avant-garde Viktor & Rolf takes earthwork artist Nancy Holt’s sun tunnels to new realms of chic.

There’s no doubt that safety pins have made their mark both on the runways and as a cheap-chic embellishment in the DIY world. And we all have our own wardrobe staples—you know, those classics in your closet that every woman should have (like the LBD, a black blazer, dark denim...the list goes on). But did you ever think staples, as in the more-likely-to-be-floating-around-loose-in-your-desk-drawers, would ever make an appearance on your clothes?
