Last month marked our first store opening in Berlin (woo!) and we are so pumped to finally share with you the blogger babes (and a few artists thrown in) that helped us kick off our opening soiree in style. Our first shout-out goes to the queen of Berlin bloggers, Jessie Weiss from Journelles, an all-around Berlin babe you need to know when it comes to fashion and beauty! Peep her Q&A below and get ready for more Berlin radness coming your way! One word: Bitte! (That means you’re welcome!)
Tell us about yourself!
Hi! I’m Jessie! I’m 27, founder of the blog Journelles and living in Berlin! Before Journelles, I founded the first German fashion blog, Les Mads and worked as the Chief Online Editor of Interview magazine in Germany.
How was the Berlin store opening?!
I was hoping to get some California sun in Berlin, but the deals were too distracting for me to even notice!
Describe your style in 5 words.
Scandinavian sportswear meets French chic.
What is the one item in your closet that you couldn’t live without?
Definitely the Forever 21 printed pants I’m wearing in the picture above.
Heels or sneakers?
Sneakers because I can’t walk in high heels at all!
Do you remember your first blog post?
Of course! It was a piece about me, what I love to do and why fashion is my first love.
What influences your style?
Music! Every 3 months or so I change my style and taste in music. When I was much younger, I loved hip-hop artists like Aaliyah.
Favorite fashion destination?
New York for the chic sportswear.
Any fun projects you’re working on now?
I just finished shooting my first TV series “It’s Fashion” on EinsPlus and have a couple of interesting things coming up which I can’t really talk about yet!
What is the number one item to buy this Fall?
A big hat á la Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent.
